This is an extremely rare complete set of 14 volumes (divisions) of The Holy Bible translated from the Latin Vulgate. They are compiled / edited by The Very Rev Frederick Oakeley. They were published by a company called Virtue & Co, London. My research leads me to believe they were published circa 1875. According to wording on front they were sold to subscribers only and they have a cover price of 6s (shillings). They are in good condition for their age. The size of each volume is 15ins x 11ins. I have seen an identical collection for sale on another web site priced at considerably more than I am asking.
